Week 4: The Elements

HEY HEY SCHOLARS!

This week and last week we have been discussing the periodic table. Your task for this week is to find one interesting thing that is made out of an element on the periodic table or has the element in it.

EX: FACOTID: finger and toe nails have a small amount of GOLD in them

The most interesting Factoid will recieve a prize on Monday

Gallium is one of 4 metals that is a liquid at near room temperatures. It has one of the longest liquid ranges of any metal and is used in high temperature thermometers.

Bismuth is a major constituent of Pepto-Bismol, but other than that it's not widely known. It is starting to be used quite widely as a replacement for lead in hunting ammunition, because of the concern about the toxic effects of lead in the environment.
